About the Club

Mothers Helping Mothers

The San Carlos/Belmont Mothers' Club was founded in 1990 and our mission continues to be "Mothers Helping Mothers." The purpose of our Club is to provide support, education and friendship to fellow moms.

Raising young children can be stressful. By joining together we can overcome the isolation and frustration that often accompanies new parenthood. Developing a network of other mothers going through the same life experiences enables us to share our feelings and ideas in hopes of gaining more confidence and a better understanding of our roles as mothers.

Our general meetings are usually held on the third Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Twin Pines Senior and Community Center, 20 Twin Pines Lane (also known as 1223 Ralston Avenue) in Belmont. Meeting topics vary, but include guest speakers and social events. You can drop in on one meeting to check it out before joining. Dads and kids are always welcome at our general meetings.

The Club also offers a monthly newsletter, playgroups, all sorts of activities, a babysitting co-op, sharing library, in-a-pinch meal service, community relations programs and volunteer opportunities. Plus we also have an awesome online community (and the offline community is pretty awesome too!).

Our Club is governed by a set of By-Laws.

Each member's participation in the Club is very important. We value each member's contributions and ideas because our Club is only as good as our members make it! We invite you to get involved, make new friends and have fun doing it!

Motherhood should be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life and we're here to share it with you.
