About Our CommunityShared ExperiencesSCBMC is a vibrant community built around members' shared experiences as mothers of young children. Our 400+ members form relationships over time by coming together regularly at general meetings, outings and socials, as well as sharing information, advice and support with each other online. This special network of mothers offers support, education and commeraderie. We invite you to get involved, make new friends and have fun doing it! Where will you share your experience? Announcements - Each month there are members that share their excitement of celebrating birthdays, welcoming new babies, or announcing great expectations. The Club publishes this information in our newsletter. Board of Volunteers - A special group of volunteers who keep the Club growing. Joining the Board is a great way to meet and connect with other members. Club Email List - The Club has established a Club Email List as a way for our members to communicate -- because the best resource for moms is other moms! Members are also notified via email about upcoming events, news, and renewal reminders. Logo Merchandise - Sport the SCBMC logo on a T-shirt of your own, or buy one for your kid(s)! Online Roster - This online database helps our members to connect and build community. Each member chooses how they want to be listed (full listing, limited listing or unlisted) in this password-protected private searchable database of member information. Playgroups - Joining a weekly playgroup is a popular way to connect and a fun way for children to socialize with others their own age. New playgroups form on a continuing basis. Each playgroup independently determines their meeting day, time, and general structure. SCBMC also schedules a monthly drop-in playgroup for all members. Polling Booth - A tool to help identify and measure the preferences of the Club community. Sub-Clubs - These are small groups formed by members with like interests. Sub-Clubs meet on a casual basis, some more frequently than others. Sub-Club groups have been formed for Adoption, Moms Over 40, Book Discussion, Crafts/Scrapbooking, and Fitness to name a few. |
